This is an opportunity to buy stocks with solid fundamentals--NOT the mag 7--they are yesterday's leaders...

"Buying of sound, seasoned issues now will not be regretted"

I compared the current price of gold against a monthly table of projected values and the current price is not on the progression upward until August so the current price is still $270 above the exponential growth rate of 23.66%.

Prepare yourselves for some sickening down drafts.

Prices above $3000 do not come until December of this year.  $5000 is not expected until late Spring 2029.

3421.30, on the little Kitco chart on today's page!

The news about Pyrite saddens me.  My thought go out to his family.

From a post in the Kitco Refugees' Gold and Metals Forum on Voy Forums, 2007:

"BWP - I for one appreciate your humour and wit
Pyrite - A great "Observer"
Norwester - Someone with great insights, generous too
mugwump - a trooper with the great links
Dabchyk - I presume the same person responsible for Dabchick's Gold Index, valuing gold independently of national currencies.  A stellar concept.
doran - good link supplier
siempre33 - another good link supplier
Hambone - a marvel of the minimalist school of moderation
aurator - knows a thing or two and I have even met him..."

I owned a Raleigh Chopper (red) in the '70s - great looking bike, but probably not the most efficient mechanically.  To change gear you had to reach down to the lever on the struts between the steering column and the seat - that kind of design became frowned upon by the Safety Inspectors, so the makers had to put the gear lever in the handlebar area in line with more usual practice (less cool).

Cautions:

Turmeric supplements with black pepper or piperine are bad for your liver - avoid!  Look for pure turmeric or curcumin with nothing added.
Curcumin with piperine "potentially increasing the bioavailability and hepatotoxicity":
https://cot.food.gov.uk/First%20draft%20statement%20on%20the%20potential%20risk%20to%20human%20health%20of%20turmeric%20and%20curcumin

Turmeric extract (but not the spice when used in food) is associated with "frightening nosebleeds".  I can confirm this, as I experienced it right after upgrading from 500mg Turmeric to 2000mg, but I had no further problems after continuing with the same supplements (physically) cut in half, i.e. 1000 mg at one per day, noting that the above Peter A. McCullough reference recommends 500mg twice a day.

Nattokinase might slow blood clotting. Taking nattokinase along with medications that also slow blood clotting might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. Medication for high blood pressure (Antihypertensive drugs) interacts with NATTOKINASE. Nattokinase might lower blood pressure. Taking nattokinase along with medications that lower blood pressure might cause blood pressure to go too low. Monitor your blood pressure closely.

Bromelain is a mild blood thinner. Bromelain might increase the risk of bleeding during and after surgery. Stop using bromelain at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.

Be aware that there are a lot of supplements on sale whose Bromelain content can not be relied upon.

Testing Results of Bromelain Supplements Purchased on Amazon:
"...15 out of 20 samples tested (75%) failed to meet label claims for potency. Only six out of 20 samples contained over 50%
of labeled potency."
https://www.nowfoods.com/healthy-living/articles/testing-results-bromelain-supplements-purchased-amazon

My preference is now for enteric coated Bromelain, 500mg, which is absorbed in the intestine, and acts to reduce inflammation.  If it is released in the stomach is simply acts as a digestive enzyme. Absorption in the intestine is also probably necessary to act against the spike protein. In support of this, you'll see recommendations to take it with meals if required to aid digestion, but on an empty stomach if required to reduce inflammation.

Acetylcysteine potential side effects:
https://www.drugs.com/sfx/acetylcysteine-side-effects.html

Co-Q10 side effects:
"Coenzyme Q10 is LIKELY SAFE for most adults. While most people tolerate coenzyme Q10 well, it can cause some mild side effects including stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It can cause allergic skin rashes in some people. It also might lower blood pressure, so check your blood pressure carefully if you have very low blood pressure."

Norwester1: Sorry to hear Pyrite has been taken ill, I wish him a speedy recovery.

RACK: As to fighting the COVID spike protein, I use CoQ10, turmeric, Nattokinase, N-Acetyl Cysteine, Bromelain and Serrapeptase after looking into them following informative posts by people here and following up with my own research.  Here is a condensation of what I have found:

I am not an anti-vaxxer - I skip using these supplements during the two week period after a vax, when I believe that the body needs to see the spike protein in order to build an immune response - but then the supplements can be brought in to stop the spike protein lingering and causing possible long-term damage.  As a lay person, without specific medical accreditation, I must point out that my comments should be used only as a starting point for your own research, and by all means seek advice from medical professionals.

How to get spike proteins out of your system...

"We introduce one potential natural way of destroying spike protein that has been proposed in a published paper: a suggestion that nattokinase
which can be found in Japanese natto food can destroy the spike protein found on the surface of cells in a laboratory setting. Another added benefit is that nattokinase is apparently the best-known natural compound that prevents fibrin aggregation of clots."

oilboiler... Serrapeptase is better than nattokinase... It gets rid of unwanted/deadly proteins in the bloodstream... lowers blood pressure and eliminating micro.clots and udder deadly issues within the plasma...

Some of my findings dating back to 26th July 2023:

Another link posted here (not sure when) quoted Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH again:
"I have found in my clinical practice that most multiply infected and or COVID-19 vaccine injected patients with post-COVID-19 symptoms respond slowly after three months or more of “Base Spike Detox” which contains:
Nattokinase 2000 FU (100 mg) twice a day
    Bromelain 500 mg daily
nano Curcumin 500 mg twice a day..."
[ my observation: nano Curcumin is a proprietary version, but regular Curcumin / Turmeric extract which is much more widely available is probably good enough. ]
Another reference on CoQ10:
"...CoQ10 attenuated platelet aggregation induced by spike protein. As an anti-platelet mechanism, we showed that CoQ10 significantly decreased the excess production of ROS induced by spike protein. "Exogenous Vitamin D and coenzyme Q10 could ameliorate COVID-19 effects and support cellular recovery.

"When Should I Take NAC?
Like other amino acid supplements, NAC should be taken either 30 minutes before, or two hours after, eating to avoid competing with protein for absorption. "

Reference:
"The results suggest that curcumin supplementation could improve the inflammatory-immune response (specifically IL-6 and MCP-1) in adults who have recovered from COVID-19 and later received a primary course of vaccines."

I will post some cautions next, otherwise I will exceed the 4000 character limit.

It happened at Best Buy ...
An exercise for the reader: Imagine if the principle embodied by the General Radio 874 (GR-874) connector developed by Eduard Karplus, Harold M. Wilson and William R. Thurston at General Radio in the late 1940s, which is completely interchangeable and hermaphroditic, so has no male or female but just the one connector which can mate with any other of the same type, had been more widely adopted... would the end result lead to more or less chaos?

I see that kitco.com has relaunched its gold forum, after a long outage.  About time, considering the all-time-highs that gold has been making recently!  In the words of BWP, "Up we go again! HOW SWEEEEEET IT IS!! Do me, goldie, do me all night long ...."

Bent Rifle, ROAN, RACK, Pyrite and any others with an interest - after seeing the discussion on BWP here I wanted to note the following:
I can say that I had a lot of fun contributing to his gold blogs. If he has passed my thoughts are with his family, if not then all the best to him and I hope he gets the inspiration to go gold blogging again.
Brian Pascal is (or was?) President of IPM [Institute of Professional Management].

In email communications with me, his domain was workplace.ca.
Here is an apparently current quarterly message on workplace.ca

I hope it is not him that the eulogy referenced here matches by name - but I couldn't find
any reference to his passing on workplace.ca
His last gold blog was this one, last post Dec 1st 2022, he started at least 2 and lost
interest after a while.
