5-Day War Update

The Ukrainian Armed Forces said on Saturday morning that, over the previous 24 hours, Russia had lost 810 troops, taking the total death toll since the start of the full-scale invasion to more than 80,000.

The update also said that Russia had lost 24 tanks and 34 armored personnel vehicles. Ukraine's air force had made 16 strikes against Moscow's military, in which they targeted personnel, weapons and military equipment.

Newsweek has contacted the Russian defense ministry for a response to the unverified Ukrainian claims, and Kyiv's account of Moscow's losses are higher than Western estimates.

It comes as Kyiv's forces are reportedly completing the liberation of the western bank of the Dnieper River in Kherson Oblast, following the Russian withdrawal.

Russia's Defense Ministry said that its forces had completed the withdrawal to the eastern bank of the river at 5 a.m. on Friday, although the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said some Russian soldiers are likely still on the west bank and scattered throughout the region.

Political scientist Sergey Kurginyan became increasingly animated as he discussed Russian troops' hasty retreat from the disputed region in Ukraine and said bluntly that "not everything is so terrific." He noted Russia's isolation with the words, "we are all alone," and claimed a "big conventional war... was not supposed to happen."

Although he also parroted the official line and said it "doesn't mean we can lose," and that the withdrawal of soldiers from the area was not the defeat Ukraine and its Western allies were suggesting, his words were sharply at odds with the tone more usually seen on state television—the Kremlin's mouthpiece.

Even the usually enthusiastic host of the show, Kremlin ally Vladimir Solovyov, was forced to admit "mistakes" had been made.

The footage was posted online with English translations by Daily Beast columnist Julia Davis, who created the Russian Media Monitor watchdog. Her Twitter bio, which says she has been hit by sanctions from Russia, ends with the words: "I watch Russian state TV, so you don't have to."

She uploaded the clip late on Sunday night after the show aired in Russia over the weekend.

2803...ya gotta love Chappelle's fearless attitude...he's not afraid of sugar-coating his monologues for fear of offending some race or culture or religion....hell, he's a comedian, so what he has to say generally mimics the shortfalls of specific people or groups, regardless of what faith or culture....I admire him for that....we need more spokespersons with an "I-can-get-in-your-face" delivery to bring down some of these "untouchables" as it were -- political, religious, or economic....IF we cannot laugh at ourselves or accept criticism for our foibles, then we've lost all hope of ever becoming, as long past, a true melting pot of cultures and beliefs....

Amen.

That's why I got such a kick out of All in the Family with Archie Bunker. Absolutely nothing was off limits which made it uproariously funny.

My dad told all of us that anyone who takes themselves overly seriously is in for many disappointments if we depend on what other people think of us or even what we think others think of us.  My eldest sister never took that to heart and she would come home crying from experiences she had in school.

Great deal of wisdom from my old man the older I get; not sure I really appreciated the depth of his wisdom and humor until I got older.

One of my favorite revelations he through at the five of us went like this:

One day he said "In a way I feel a little sorry for you kids.  You are part German, part Irish and part Norwegian.   What this amounts to is that an any given day you will not know whether to start a world war, start a bar fight or go fishing".

https://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/the-aftermath-and-after-that/
The on-the-ground economy has imploded. Inflation is for-real and is crushing the country’s standard-of-living. Before long, it may shift into deflation, which means instead of having a lot of money losing value, you’ll have no money at all. Rising interest rates killed off the real estate part of the Everything Bubble, and the building, selling, and remodeling of houses has been the locus of the few remaining good-paying jobs. The car industry is dying under several forms of stress: steeply rising unit prices, a strapped middle-class, growing scarcity of capital for lending, broken supply lines for vehicle inventory and parts, and the insane “green” crusade to make all motoring electric. Even fixing things of value — existing houses, cars, machinery in general — becomes increasingly impossible when nobody can get replacement parts to work with.
For over a hundred years we’ve been an economy running on fossil fuels, especially oil. In America, it made for an **** of suburban expansion and “consumerism” (buying lots and lots of stuff). The business model for getting oil out of the ground, refining it, and distributing it, is broken and unlikely to get fixed. The global relations that balanced supply between the oil-rich nations and the oil-poor ones was smashed with our stupid sanctions against Russia and the unnecessary antagonism of Saudi Arabia by “Joe Biden” & Company. America has a lot of shale oil in the ground, but it’s at best marginally economical to get at. “Joe Biden” has promised to destroy all the fossil fuel industries, and if you take him at his word, that means the natgas sector too. Half of America thinks it’s going “green.” No, it’s going broke. It also happens that America has about a three-week reserve of diesel fuel. Trucks and all other heavy vehicles have to run on diesel. Without them, nothing moves from Point A to Point B, including food, and America goes hungry.

Lots of red herrings out there. Gets the normal person off kilter. Forget the mind numbing so-called issues and look at the overall picture. Ftx, Arizona etc... have you mad? Forget it, won't make a difference today, tomorrow or next year.

And as far as inflation goes - it is not inflation, it is the fall of the US dollar hegemony.

It ain't coming back sports fans.

ROAN - initially, would say some Deflation from here ST is possible & probable. The FOMC has done tremendous damage to the housing market and fringe corp borrowers - that has yet to be felt in full. When it becomes apparent in the next 90 days they've topedo'd the core of the market, they are going to panic to cut rates & we will be off the races re Gold. Deflation definitely scares them much more than inflation

Russian telegram channels saying that the missile fragments in Poland look like an S-300, which would be Ukrainian air defense.

I doubt that Russia would aim a long distance missile at a tractor & grain dryer in Poland.

Is the strong economy made out of plastic…?

Yahoo finance…
“ Credit card balances surged from July to September as Americans continued to sink deeper in debt amid rampant inflation, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York said Tuesday.

Credit card balances increased $38 billion in the third quarter to $925 billion, the New York Fed found, with balances racing closer to pre-pandemic levels of $930 billion in the fourth quarter of 2019. Year over year, credit debt grew by 15%, the largest jump in more than 20 years.

Ugly…🧐

Berkshire Hathaway Vice Chairman Charlie Munger, a longtime cryptocurrency skeptic, said digital currencies are a malicious combination of fraud and delusion.

“This is a very, very bad thing. The country did not need a currency that was good for kidnappers,” Munger said in an interview with CNBC’s Becky Quick that aired on “Squawk Box” on Tuesday. “There are people who think they’ve got to be on every deal that’s hot. I think that’s totally crazy. They don’t care whether it’s child **** or bitcoin.”

Before everyone gets their knickers in a knot about Russian missiles raining on Poland, take note of the available information:

The Polish Fire Service clarified that the explosions occurred at a grain dryer, resulting in the death of two people, stressing that the causes of the incident are still unknown.
....
According to the photos from the area, the territory of Poland was likely hit by Ukrainian S300 air defence missiles. However, Warsaw is likely to blame Russia.

The Russian Defense Ministry called the Polish media reports about the fall of two Russian missiles on the territory of the country a “deliberate provocation”. The ministry added that they there were no strikes near the Ukrainian-Polish border, and the debris depicted in the photos in the Polish media is not related to Russian weapons....

Oilboiler-Yes...you did (looking at your posts.) I get rather shirty about people who don't join the dots or avoid them 'cause it leads to the wrong conclusions...(This doesn't apply to most of the forum posters here!) Still, after reading a couple of MSM report, I just got fed up at the level of ignorance, wilful or just plain ignorance.

Yes Virginia, there really is a Dr. Evil;

https://henrymakow.com/2022/11/zagami-communist-china-is-reset.html

A storm is now upon us.

All its elements clearly point to an orchestrated intention; in other words, it cannot be an accident. And the intention we discern in the current historical moment, the underlying plan, would appear to lay the ground for what has been called a "techno-totalitarian digital dark age," associated with the Club of Rome, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum, that is, what has come to be known as the Great Reset -- the corporate takeover of property, health, currency, travel, energy, and sustenance that will facilitate the complete Satanic takeover of our reality with the arrival of the infamous Mark of the Beast.

The upshot involves a thorough restructuring of democratic society along neo-medieval lines, an elimination of the middle class, a two-tier political order, and a reduction of the global population.

David Solway of PJMedia.com describes the sinister elements composing this storm in the following way:

The imposition of a viral pandemic and its official response -- lockdowns, social distancing, masks, quarantines, medical apartheid -- that effectively closed down the public life and economic structures of entire nations, leading to loss of livelihoods, physical and psychological illness, and spiraling suicide rate.
The mandating of novel genomic "vaccines" that are creating mass casualties, as witnessed in the phenomenon of SADS -- Sudden Adult Death Syndrome -- which came into prominence post-vaccine. The plethora of dissuasive "fact-checks" on social media and the Internet are further signs that we are living in an age of censorship. The correlation between SADS and the vaccine rollout is overwhelming and may even suggest a causal link. The massive rise in stillbirths may also be attributed to the vaccines.
A "climate change" policy entailing carbon taxes, bans on fertilizers, the shutting down of standard energy production, the marketing of costly and inefficient electric vehicles that threaten to deplete the power grid, and the legislating of largely unworkable and extortionate green renewables based on insecure and fabricated science and dodgy computer models, whose effect has been to impoverish both producers and ordinary citizens in bringing about a new and despotic dispensation.
    Supply chain disruptions.
    Government-induced food and fuel shortages.
Rampant inflation, pricing the necessities of life beyond the ability of vast numbers of people to afford them.
The official insistence on so-called "abortion rights."
The focus on and pursuit of LGBTQ+, "non-binary," transgender, and sexual indoctrination of preschoolers and minors, creating a growing cohort of human beings who do not reproduce, i.e., a condition of sterility.
The proposed creation of a cashless digital economy and the introduction of digital ID with the aim of establishing a China-style social credit system, depriving the individual of personal freedom and discretionary choice.
The initiating of proxy wars, as in Ukraine, further resulting in crippling forms of material scarcity, economic pain, and population stress.
Just because you are paranoid does not prove that they are not out to get you

Rampant inflation, pricing the necessities of life beyond the ability of vast numbers of people to afford them.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

You mean vast numbers of stupid yuppies and boomers who paid for their kids to go to "college" and "study" essential arts and marine biology and stay at home for the 8 years it took them to get the valuable deeploma.

On home equity loans and "savings."

"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."

Refute if you can.
