In truth, Russia is fighting a Holy War against the Satanic Zionist forces who rule the U.S.A..  The Russians will win because their cause is righteous.

I just got over what I suspect was influenza A and can't say I have ever felt that miserable in at least 35 years.  Fever, chills soaked clothing at night and shaking with an incessant cough.

PB, mine started with chills so bad I was shaking. Then an upper body clubbing. Funny my oxy/pulse was reading normal but I couldn't get any air. Spent two nights in the chair. Woke last night and thought I had dumped my water jug in the bed. Oh,the headache was like the time I smacked my head on the concrete.

The cowards that he talks about should be hung upside down on meat hooks like the Italians did to Mussolini after WWII.

My mother was a WAC (Women's Army Corps) that entered Italy just after Battle of Anzio and missed seeing Mussolini hanging upside down by only 2 days.

Hmmm....a less enthusiastic analysis of our current Gold market from over at that Gold-Eagle forum site --

https://www.gold-eagle.com/article/gold-300-november-so-what

 "."SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
The price of gold is currently in a steep decline dating back to its high in August 2020. There is little or no justification for the expectation that gold will break upwards to new highs anytime soon. More likely, investors can expect a resumption of the downtrend and an eventual break to new lows below $1600 oz. (also see Demand For Gold - No New Highs and Gold And The Normalcy Bias)."

.....the guy certainly has some valid observations reg. real-whirld inflation and related economic conditions.....WORTH A QUICK READ of his article...

PB, after Battle of Anzio. The Germans had our guys pinned down there for a long time, a real meat grinder. My dad was in the 8th Air Force in B-26's. They finally broke the German resistance by flying wingtip to wingtip @ 300 FEET dropping 100# bombs. They all thought they were going to die, a suicide mission. I guess they surprised the hell out of them Germans. A couple of planes took a very few small arms rounds is all. The 50 cal nose gunners made them duck for cover and they were over and gone before most knew what happened. Those that survived anyway. All the zig zagged road ditches were full of troops with machine guns, small arms, mortars. They made a mess of them

My mother told us that when she landed, the air smelled of the stench of death and there were pools of coagulated blood in the ditches.   My sisters and I have experienced nothing in comparison to my folks.  Mom's mother paid the doctor in eggs during the 30s and my dad had to give up high school football and sweep out wearhouses after his dad got laid off from Madison-Kipp Corporation and they lost their family home.

Dad had four sisters and my mom's family was just as large as families had many kids back in those day.

#5120...yeah, RACK....the preponderance of articles you'll find there are generally 'metals friendly' and suggesting significant upward movements in the years ahead....This guy is a bit more cautious based on his studies....is he probably right?  I dunno, nor do I necessarily see the other eggspurt's predictions ($4000. gold?) as likely or realistic at this point....maybe it will happen, but we could still see a major freefall and retracement back to that $1600. level, so we wait and watch as that guy on the old Kitco forum regularly suggested.....

Does anyone actually belive this gibberis?

"The wave count I sent on Jan 6th remained intact. And my target of 1890 was exceeded as was 1920. Its possible that the 1940s gets tagged. Once Wave 1 of (5) ends I anticipate a 50% to 61.8% retracement of Wave 1s entire gain. I will project this pullback once Wave 1 is complete."

(kapex on 29770)

For one, what is the definition of Wavelets 1 to 5? . And what is the causal relationship  between wavelets and market movements?

?!! I keep thumping the table, I am curious, many posters seem to accept these statements at face value, I want to know why? Why is it so difficult to answer? Or is there no logic just belief???

If so, say so.

The Plan to Carve Up Russia

By Mike Whitney
The Unz Review

January 14, 2023

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2023/01/no_author/the-plan-to-carve-up-russia/

There are a few things worth considering in this short excerpt:

That “the U.S. goal of preventing the emergence of regional hegemons in Eurasia” has nothing to do with national defense. It is a straightforward declaration of war on any nation that successfully uses the free market to grow its economy. It is particularly unsettling that China on Washington’s target-list when US corporate outsourcing and offshoring have factored so large in China’s success. US industries moved their businesses to China to avoid paying anything above a slave wage. Is China to be blamed for that?
The fact that Eurasia has more “people, resources, and economic activity” than America, does not constitute a “threat” to US national security. It only represents a threat to the ambitions of western elites who want to use the US Military to pursue their own geopolitical agenda.
Finally: Notice how the author acknowledges that the government deliberately misleads the public about its real objectives in Central Asia. He says: “U.S. policymakers do not often state explicitly in public the goal of preventing the emergence of regional hegemons in Eurasia, U.S. military operations in recent decades—both wartime operations and day-to-day operations—appear to have been carried out in no small part in support of this goal.” In other words, all the claptrap about “freedom and democracy” is just pablum for the masses. The real goals are “resources, economic activity” and power.

********************************

Under any other flag we would call this colonial imperialism if not fascism.  In our fallen Republic we call it American Exceptionalism.  It makes PB1 and Mrs. PB1 want to puke in a hole.

Galling hypocrisy.

The media blackout on certain news stories has been part and parcel to how they have always operated.

The New York Times covered for Stalin when he starved out the Ukrainians during the Holodomor.

Many of the photographs of Jewish prisoners photographed in the Concentration Camps at the end of WWII were really of Ukrainian starvation victims.

The best news is from the Russian telegram channels, but some are now back on twitter.
For the military situation, see this

By the way - the Russian missile attack on the apartment building was caused by a Ukraine air defense missle which intercepted the Russian one. Confirmed by Aleksey Arestovich (Ukraine presidential advisor). They are milking it here for the propaganda, though.

Net Zero Will Lead to the End of Modern Civilisation

Perhaps one of the best voices to cast doubt on an approaching climate crisis, suggests the author, is Professor Emeritus Richard Lindzen of MIT, one of the world’s leading authorities on geological fluid motions:

What historians will definitely wonder about in future centuries is how deeply flawed logic, obscured by shrewd and unrelenting propaganda, actually enabled a coalition of powerful special interests to convince nearly everyone in the world that CO2 from human industry was a dangerous planet-destroying toxin. It will be remembered as the greatest mass delusion in the history of the world – that CO2, the life of plants, was considered for a time to be a deadly poison.

Macgregor: Amazingly, his tone has never changed - one of the guys who said the war would be over in a week or so - at least he's consistent

Col. Douglas Macgregor: ‘The war is really over in Ukraine … they have been grounded to bits’
March 18, 2022 | Todd Jaquith |  Print Article

“The war is really over for the Ukrainians,” Macgregor told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “They have been grounded to bits. There’s no question about that, despite what we report on our mainstream media. So the real question for us at this stage is, if there is an agreement, Tucker, are we going to live with the Russian people and their government? Or are we going to continue to pursue this sort of regime change dressed up as Ukrainian war?”

War as you know is never static.  When he made the statement you referenced the EU and the U.S. had not really begin to throw fast amounts of military resources and Zelenskyy  had not yet gone on his blood thirsty campaign to throw as many of Ukraine's Christians into the meat grinder.

PB1 will not be happy until Zelenskyy is hung or shot by firing squad by the Russians. If I had the power to deport the entire NeoCon crew in the US, including Victoria Nuland to be tried for crimes against humanity, I would do so.

Looks like we have a shot at challenging $1900 ahead of PPI on Wednesday - $1909's a done deal. Then $1905 & if we don't stop there, the battle of $1900 will ensue. Not going much below $1900 if at all. But wouldn't be surprised to see it hit

It amounts to selling one's soul for money.  Both parties are intoxicated with Mo' Money.

The citizens be damned as they water pipes send lead into the children of Flint or their bridges fall after being condemned years before.   Washington D.C. has become a **** house to put it bluntly.

I view Ukraine as a cesspool. Money laundering, human trafficking, drug running, arms dealing, nazis, bio-weapon labs, payoffs and corruption with Joe Biden's son and other politician's children. The Russians are doing us all a favor. It will be interesting to see how long it will be before Western Europe realizes their interests will be better served by aligning with Russia than the US? Then they will hunt these WEF MFs like dogs and shoot them in the street.

Climate Science: What Does it Say? | Dr. Richard Lindzen | EP 320  (VERY long)

Dr Jordan B Peterson and Dr. Richard Lindzen dive into the facts of climate change, the models used to predict it, the dismal state of academia, and the politicized world of “professional” science.

Richard Lindzen is a dynamical meteorologist. He has contributed to the development of theories for the Hadley Circulation, hydrodynamic instability theory, internal gravity waves, atmospheric tides, and the quasi-biennial oscillation of the stratosphere. His current research is focused on climate sensitivity, the role of cirrus clouds in climate, and the determination of the tropics-to-pole temperature difference. He has attained multiple degrees from Harvard University, and won multiple awards in his field of study such as the Jule Charney award for “highly significant research in the atmospheric sciences”. Between 1983 and 2013, he was the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at MIT where he earned emeritus status in July of 2013.

Exchange-ag.de is a nation wide German coin dealership with imho the best buy/sell spread in Germany or possibly the rest of Europe. About a couple years ago from a history of buying at spot the company started offering a premium of 10-15 Euros per ounce of gold. Then the premium rose again last year plateauing around €20-25 for several months. Yesterday premium hit €36.

Don't follow you my man. Those are spot prices for the € at this moment. Exchange-ag.de is offering to pay not quite €1800 while Kiddco is only paying €1763 or abouts. No?

Not to put too fine a point on it but with exchange rate ate 1.08 x €1800 =  $1950 so exchange-ag.de is offering approximately $40 or so premium. Is that clear as mud?

5184...5185....O.K. "pies".....I get what you're saying....I would not necessarily consider KITCO's "buy" prices as especially standard for the industry on this side of the whirld....there are numerous other major traders willing to pay more than they offer, so not all North American metals brokerages are 'cheap' on their buy-back policies....I know from travels outside of this country that most foreign nations seem to prize gold at a much more favorable rate than we do here....Years ago, I could buy Austrian 100 Coronas from a trader in Seattle, jump on the hydrofoil that put me in Victoria in about 70 minutes, walk from the harbor up to a local coin shop there a few blocks away and sell those 100 Coronas to the owner there for about $15./per more than I'd paid for them in Seattle.  It was a nice getaway and the resale profits covered my hydrofoil ticket, a nice lunch at a restaurant overlooking the harbor there, and some occassional business there where I could often find U.S. Gold coins at a cheaper price than back in the 'states'.....Those 100 Coronas which were unloved in the lower 48 were readily sought in Victoria....I found the same to be the case when in Germany and England and Mexico and Hong Kong years later -- we could buy their "unloved" U.S. Gold coins and sell them our foreign ones for strong profits.....As for the "guru" reference....heh-heh....I've never thought myself to be anything of the kind, but I have had a lot more experiences with physical products than, perhaps, many here...

As to your Puget Sound arbitrage escapades NW that is exactly what someone could do now, buy in the States and sell in Germany though the logistics and profitability are different.  Sell 10 ozs or so and pay for your one way flight maybe. Heard Egyptians are really desperate to acquire at the moment. Live on the Red Sea for a few grams a week anyone?

Cherokeeee. I read the article on moving to Africa. I lived there over 20 years and worked there 30. First off Accra, Ghana is probably the most westernized City in Africa. I lived there and married my wife there. We used to laugh at the Americans who went to Ghana to see their roots as they went from 4 star hotel in air-conditioned bus to Elmina castle and back. It is probably better for some entrepreneurs there instead of North America for sure as those countries are much freer than North America. The article forgot to discuss the most important aspect. Mingle with Africans and become their friends. Do not hang out in expat enclaves. You need to understand their social fabric which is much different than North America. Take them for what they are and embrace them, do not be preaching this is how we do it in North America.
Would I move back there? I miss it every day. If my life circumstances were different I would be there. Many of my white co workers over the years, decided to stay there and enjoy the culture. I prefer French West Africa over Ghana and Nigeria any day. Abidjan is probably better than Paris these days. I suppose it is difficult for Americans due to language and the civil law vs common law regime. The fact remains that Africa does not cover up poverty as North America does. The corruption is less subtle but not as bad as what I see in North America now. Every time I would step off a plane in Africa the smell hit me and I knew I was home. Palm oil cooking wafting in the breeze or the frangipanie flowers in season. JMVHO.

Brian Kemp GA Governer @ Davos - cashing that 2020 chit

The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, kicked off earlier this week, and power brokers from the political and corporate worlds didn’t waste any time getting together. CNBC’s Brian Schwartz and Hugh Son report that business-friendly Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Chris Coons, D-Del. and Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., along with several House lawmakers and the GOP governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, dined with dozens of business leaders Monday at the luxurious Hotel Schatzalp. Coons told CNBC about 50 CEOs would be at the lunch, but didn’t name any of them. CNBC confirmed that Hewlett-Packard Enterprise CEO Antonio Neri attended, as did Klaus Schwab, the executive chairperson of the World Economic Forum.

So we finally got snow here, 3 inches so I do not have to cut the grass.  Looks like sh!tty weather hovering around freezing for the next couple weeks.  At least the days are getting longer now.
