So if the fed hikes by the anticipated .75 basis points and remains hawkish, What do posters think will happen to the POG short term/long term?

Shorter term, gold should follow the market down.

Longer term the Fed will fold like a cheap tent.

Jeff And Max Igan Dish It Out - AI To Rule  (52:19)

https://mediaarchives.gsradio.net/rense/special/rense_061422_hr2.mp3

Your gold and silver will do you no good.  A plan was hatched 14 years ago to destroy the West; in particular, New Zealand, Australia, America and Canada.  Artificial intelligence games human response and has the chess moves ready before even individuals realize what their response will be.

All the dystopian images laid out by Huxley and Orwell are not playing out right before our eyes.  The real WOKE understood this many decades before the rest of us. Certainly Randy Weaver understood this as did Milton William Cooper.

So trading the FOMC - as this bump fades into the announcement, the first move after the announcement at 2PM is 80%+ the opposite of where we will finish today. Unless, the move starts in earnest before the announcement

Right Apollo.  More often than not the PM market reverses whatever it did immediately after the announcement.  At times it will do a double reversal, so one can't be sure of where it will end up.

Fed

Certainly not trend changing.  Relief rally - maybe - but it won’t last long.

Look for “data driven” from Powell.

So we'll see if PMs call Powell's bluff & it is a bluff - he can't do what they said in their statement without blowing up the world.

Then Powell went Dovish - "Skitzo-FED"

Wolakva: Ziggs method will work if you are growing determinate tomatoes but not good enough for indeterminate tomatoes. Some of my tomato plants can rise to 15 feet high. I only grow indeterminate heirlooms. This year I am growing 18 plants in a 6 x 12 foot box. So once I cut off all the suckers when I got home from Scotland, I staked them with 8 foot rebar poles. That will last until about Aug 1. I then tie the tops of the poles in a crisscross with cord. That makes it like a square box. Last year one corner collapsed from the sheer weight of the plants and tomatoes. I am going one step further this year. I bought a roll of cattle fencing. As my boxes are 6 ft wide, I will cut the fencing to 25 feet and arch it over the tomatoes securing both sides into the wood box. That should create an arch about 8 feet tall. SO when the tomatoes go thru the fence they will start to lay down and they can grow another 7+ ft downwards. After that the frost hits so season over. I also used same fencing for carrots, beans and beets. Difference being I surrounded the boxes with cattle fence and put chicken wire on the bottom. It seems to be working for deer, raccoons, squirrels and rabbits,  soooo far.

So, the Fed raises 75bp and the market rallies because it was no surprise.  Neither is Powell’s tough talk.

But in reality, rates are pushing Powell, not the other way around.  Mortgage rates at 6%?  Yep, that’s worth a rally - in dreams.

Sell it.

Strange interest rates go up .75 points and gold and silver blast off after being suppressed until they made their announcement. If anyone tells me they can do charting in this climate I must admit I no longer can... To much manipulation by PPT and the Criminal Central Banks. Where are the off book created 30 Trillion hiding. We have been lied to for so long that I should just take the money out of the market and buy physical. Wish I did that years ago...

Bear markets are fun to watch.

They grind lower and lower, then seemingly out of the blue comes a raucous rally that pinches the shorts and convinces the longs that indeed a bottom has been reached.  Very short term, it has.  And the key word is very.

They rally enough to convince even some skeptics who join in the long party near the top only to have their legs cut off again.

Lifted off Yahoo finance….a financial “ therapist “ sez don’t worry..

“ These days, it might be better to check your portfolio on the desktop rather than the app — so you’re sitting down.

Now that the S&P 500 has fallen into bear market territory this week, there’s a good argument to stay logged out of your 401(k) — or even losing your password — so you don’t make money moves out of fear and instead stick with your long-term strategy.

“If we look at it rationally, and we zoom out, we see that there are always these periods where markets go up, they go down, inflation goes up and it goes down," Lindsay Bryan-Podvin, a financial therapist, recently told Yahoo Finance Live. "And what we know is that, over time, if we hold on to our stocks, the market tends to recover, and things will be OK.”

You heard it..!   Things will be 👌🏿

The US constitution gives us an outline of how the country is specifically designed to function.
The bill of rights is, in effect, the 10 Commandments that the government must follow. Just like our 10  Commandments are the Lord's rules for us to follow.

Neither us nor the government can remove any of these commandments

I think the PM stocks are in a miserable state because the investors holding them have been levered up in other investments like stocks, ETF's and bitcoin.   They are getting margin calls now so have to toss away their holdings to raise equity.

It's true that there is credit used in the bullion markets but I suspect margin calls get pretty well cleaned up very rapidly.

Is this the BOTTOM???
A bakery owner hired a young female shop assistant who liked to wear very short skirts and thong panties. One day a young man enters the store, glances at the shop assistant and at the loaves of bread behind the counter. Noticing her short skirt and the location of the raisin bread, he has a brilliant idea.
"I'd like some raisin bread please," the man says.
The shop assistant nods and climbs up a ladder to reach the raisin bread located on the very top shelf. The man, standing almost directly beneath her, was provided with an excellent view, just as he had thought he would.
When she descends the ladder, he decides that he had better get two loaves. As the shop assistant retrieves the second loaf of bread, one of the other male customers notices what's going on and requests his own loaf of raisin bread.
After many trips she is tired and irritated and begins to wonder, "Why the unusual interest in the raisin bread?"
Atop the ladder one more time, she looks down and glares at the men standing below. Then, she notices an elderly man standing amongst the crowd. Thinking that she can save herself another trip, she yells at the elderly man, "Is it raisin for you too?"
"No," stammers the old man, "but it's quivering a little."

Time to “ fix bayonets “….?

“ A person with knowledge of the situation tells us that, more than just “considering” the move, Winchester, which operates the US Army’s Lake City ammunition plant, has been informed that it may no longer sell M855 and SS109 ammunition produced in excess of the military’s needs on the civilian market.

How would that affect the civilian supply of .223 and 5.56 ammunition? We understand that as much as 30% of the commercial market’s sales volume of .223/5.56 is produced by Lake City.”

fix bayonets, Zigg, got plenty ammo and the makings. I was really surprised at the hardness of steel used in bayonets. I don't think you can dull them. I couldn't add to the edge or point

Wealth Shock Delays Gold Bull Market as Goldman Revises Targets

snippets:
Goldman economists expect two 75 basis-point hikes over the summer, which could sap US growth, add to fears of recession risks and boost gold investment demand.

The bank kept its upside outlook for the gold price but delayed the path by revising its three- and six-month targets to $2,100 and $2,300, from $2,300 and $2,500, respectively. The 12-month target of $2,500 was unchanged. Spot bullion was at $1,813 on Wednesday.

Well, as Hambone would say, I hope watching the FED's antics along side market interest rates over the last 6 months provides solid proof to anyone who was watching, that the FED has no power over interest rates when those rates matter.

Specifically, when perceived price inflation is low, the FED can play all the games it cares to and pretend to be leading the parade in the management of interest rates; but once the genie gets out of the bottle and sharp price inflation becomes evident to the masses, market rates will go wherever they are destined to go.

As Karl Denninger has said "You would need a prime of 11.6% to tackle official CPI inflation and more like 15% to 18% to produce a positive rate of return on the actual inflation going on now.

Bucking the trend - Blue Diamond INCREASED their package size from 16 to 19.2 ounces for almonds (probably only temporary), and they were BOGO this last week.  I stocked up.

So is the rain issue over in California?

Hmmmm....today's high figures virtually a .618 bounce of the recent lows at $1805. from the previous high a while back around $1872. ....is it over?  Guess we'll find out shortly, if we break down below $1835. again....wolavka says it's going higher....I'm dubious....July looms ahead, and is often a low-point in the annual path for Gold....

While whirld events and a flaky economy may certainly distort old patterns short term, it's gutsy to go against "normal" market conditions as shown on this 40-year Gold chart....I wish it were more current, as the last 6-7 years may have altered the "15-year" pathway a bit...

Cherokeeee - might look alarming but that's about what 5% of all producing chickens based on 2020 numbers...

As of 2020, the available data indicates that there are an estimated 518.3 million chickens in the U.S. Given the global trend of rising chicken production, this number might increase for 2021 and the years to come.Apr 30, 2021

The top five chicken-producing states as of 2020 are the following:

    Iowa: 60 million.
    Indiana: 44.5 million.
    Ohio: 43 million.
    Pennsylvania: 36 million.
    Georgia: 31 million.

and then there is this:

Poultry Statistics
Broiler Hatchery

In 2020 9.8 billion broiler chicks were hatched in the U.S. Most of these chickens are killed after a lifespan of just 45 days.

For the week. POG is down roughly 1% while the PM stocks are down roughly 7%.  POG/XAU now above 15.  It was below 12 a few weeks ago.  Translation:  PMs are severely underperforming relative to POG.

Jesse, there have been two periods where PM stocks beat bullion you have to evaluate them on their relative risks with ratio charts;

How safe is a USPS money order?

Well, today I got this message from a guy I "think" I ....may...be buying a coin from:

"Good evening-

I received the money order, however, the post office that my PO Box is at indicated they couldn’t get the money order recognized in the USPS system and refused to cash it.

After that happened this morning, I went to work in Hartford and went to another Post office and they indicated the same Issue when scanning the money order."

Frus..
Prices on eggs here are +30% or higher...and they are always picked over.  Here's a pic of my hen house which will have additional bracing and wheels put on heavy end.  Have 10 hens on the way from Tractor Supply of which i'm keeping 4 as that's perfect for my small coop.
Nor'easter you must of had a walk-in wire coop.  This is a 007 egg operation... no roosters to fowl.up the peace and alert chicken hawks or disturb neighbors.  I posted a list earlier of what has been destroyed to date... eggs will surely go as diesel breaks the camel's back.
