Somehow it is a comfort to me that the Twins baseball team again sucks.

At my ripe old age, I would not want any sudden shocks or surprises.

In terms of the Gopher State, after living here since 1983, I think this observation is still spot on;

“That's the news from Lake Woebegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”

Dumbass shoot'em up in Hometown. A shooter interrupted the interment of an Anglo by the name of De'shuwon or whatever. Only four or five were struck at the cemetery. The burial ground is adjacent to the hospital complex so it wasn't so bad. I was there in the morning before the bullets found their targets of the family. Not bad as the estimated range is 150 yards. Better than most excepting the chocolate mess in the funereal vehicles that hauled the stricken to hospital. I swear it was RACK.

I was somewhat pleased with Pt today. We all know that it is crap even if somewhat useful. It stinks, but not as much being "little silver" by "Platine". Platine is in surplus and has been for a rather long time. Knee me in the crotch for buying the junk even if I am up ten percent. I should have bought frozen turkeys even though Pt is lower maintenance.

We had an ad that featured beautiful women that are in search of older men. I neglected to click it as I have a slightly younger wife that I am quite fond of. Did any of you click on the header ad? Now it is baldness that I do not suffer. Many think that I dye my hair to conceal grey, but I am too lazy to do that. I don't care about loss of bodily hair just so long as I do not lose my long and pretty eyelashes.
 Let us start a fight!

Decent day today with highs at 71F. My latest micro cat is on the upstairs porch eating spiders. I warned her but she is heedless. The wife demands central air conditioning. I never had it and do not have any desire to install it. On Lake Michigan it has had difficulty getting into the low seventies. I am more interested in getting coal for fireplace heating this next winter. The weekend promises mid to upper sixties so I can wear my Guzzi and Ducati shirts.

These dumb chit politician's have destroyed our infrastructure by turning green.bean.  Texas... energy capital of the US... and we are going to have rolling blackouts they claim...
Chit they flare more NGas in The Pecos Valley than we'd use in a Power Plant to keep the lights on... We are awash with the ingredient needed to generate way more than enough electricity for all of this country and we're gonna go dark...with super high temps..and a race war boiling... uh.huh.  I see a melee.

Do you want to see the prettiest bike? Some handmade Oz semi copy of the Ducati Imola race bike that was supposedly street legal in the day. 59,000 USD that I will swap if a gold kilo Kangaroo can get up a bit. WTF am I going to do with it?

12859...well, Erle, with your love for funky old Triumps and Ducatis and Guzzis, I guess I'm not surprised that you'd fall in love with that pseudo Aussie/Italian style skeleton of a bike....I tell ya what....I'd rather be straddling one of these road warriors for an 1,800 mile trip back to cheesehead country than that butt-busting "vee-two"....AND, I could own a coupla fully dressed-out bikes like this for the price of that thing...

Okay Mike, but there is a rather large difference between a fat assed female and slim and trim gal built for something else entirely. The Ducati thang weighs one third of your Glod Wang and it is far prettier. The original weighed 333 pounds dry. A used one now costs USD125,000 and up a lot for a nice one. It is nuts.

The Ukranian casualty figures are propaganda, of course. But currently, Russian losses are quite low while Ukraine is losing a battalion per day. Zelensky just admitted the latter.

The U.S. position is to continue to kill Ukrainian soldiers to weaken the Russians.
They will not stop, even if Ukraine is totally destroyed. They don't care. It is about power, but they will lose this one. Big.

The sanctions screwed up trade in food and fertilizer. Combined with the damage from western government policies during the pandemic, a global famine is coming. Millions are about to starve, mostly in the third world, and our policies are responsible. They don't care.

We have an energy crisis in the west, again, our own green policies and the western "green cult" are responsible. The sanctions have raised the crisis to critical levels. Americans living standards will drop significantly. They don't care.

A worst may have been avoided if we agreed to negotiations with a couple of simple concessions

End NATO aggression, Ukraine stays neutral and we stop funding nazis in that country.
Let the people in the Russian occupied areas decide their own fate by democratic election, and respect their decision.

I cannot see what is objectionable to the above. But the neocons in this administration think that only they get to decide the fate of eastern Ukraine, and not the people who have lived there for thousands of years.

Meanwhile, not much reporting in the west from the occupied territories.

12861....huh?  who said I was packing a "wide load" type with me....hell, I'm enough of a wide load without adding a back-up!.....I get what you're saying, but I prefer comfort on a long road trip to "style" as you suggest that bike is...it doesn't do it for me, and I owned a Ducati when I was 15 for a few months....they didn't do well on gravel on curves I found out....still have some in my knee I believe....

Those fetal position poopsquat bikes are sexy.
Screaming into a cafe in Friuli Venezia Giulia in a hail of gravel should impress any amply hirsute signorina in a flash.

"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."

I did not imply the width of the gal behind you. Gold Wings are the fat ass. They eat tires in a 1000 mile trip. The Ducati Imola better than new replica has no provision for a pillion passenger, hirsute or not . To each their own. Pyrite is just a nasty old man that has no sense for design.
Sorry I mentioned the Oz version. I just found it to be eye candy with 110 HP which I cannot handle properly.

12865......Yeah...on my re-read, Erle, I caught what you meant....You know, there's a lot of truth in your observation of those big ol' cruiser GoldWings....I had an 1100 back in 1980, I'm thinking it was, and it was no lightweight even back then...I believe they ran about 900 lbs. with bags and box on 'em.... I went to look at one locally a few years  back, a 2014 model that was a real 'dresser', but obviously bigger still than that 1100 I'd owned some 44 years ago...I got on it and lurched it off of the mainstand only to damn near tip it over as it leaned a bit when it touched the concrete in the guy's garage....After a down-the-road and back quick 2-3 mile trip, I thanked him but had to pass on it....As I told him, "If I tipped this sumbitch over, I'd have to drain a bit of gas outta the tank and set it on fire, 'cause I sure as hell couldn't lift it back up!"  He laughed, understandably....(That 1800 CC model weighed in at close to 1,075lbs. + the added bags and luggage box!)

Another thing about wopsickles is that they paid attention to weight. I have a Benelli six at 900CC that comes in at a hefty 440 pounds which is about 130 less than most. My small bore guzzis were not so fast but the best brakes anywhere, and shaft drive. I have a book in Italian that has all of the Guzzis. One of the more impressive photographs is of the small bore V twin drive train separated from the rest of the bike. It is kinda slow, but can keep up with Harley, and smoke them in even the slightest twisting road. Yes, it is slow as compared to the Japanese bikes, but it has some soul. Coming down of the coulees along the river one could nearly stand the little thing on its nose at the bottom of the hill. What gives a rush of pleasure is not for heavy bikes. I don't care to much about stacking coin. I will gladly trade a kilo and change for what I previously posted. You have no idea what it took to make that Vee-Two. Hat is doffed to the men that took that thing to production of perhaps ten, at this time.  Hey, but what do I know?

N'w, when Honda came out with the Gold Wing as undressed it was a phenomenal bike if you tolerate heavy. Astonishing performance and not so bloated. That was a long time ago. It is just not my notion of a bike.
My best man had a Ducati Pantah 850, or whatever. He had 40mm carbs and some kit on it and I helped him out with the desmo valve cups of my design that made the SOB quite reliable. He let me ride it on one of our trips on an absolutely perfect asphalt road to nowhere. We stopped at a bar with two horses parked outside on the hitching post. What a dump! We had a most good time with the locals and then got a late start to the river. You don't know just how good those Desmo Ducatis were in their day. Flick it about.

Balanced brakes as on Brembo of 1984 were something that could kill you. The rear brake that also operated the fronts were terrifying. Even at slower speeds into turns that needed rear brake could lay you down and into trees. I hate the goomint that found that to be a good idea. I suppose that I hate the gombit at any level.

Well, there's the bogey

Below 150K Jobs And Everything Soars

If the number is shocking low, say, about four standard deviations away from the mean (giving us a print below 150k), we may get a big rally in rates, for the markets would start worrying about whether the economy can hold its poise amid the Fed’s hiking cycle

Crack spread is now over $60 with refiners running flat out.
https://www.energystockchannel.com/3-2-1-crack-spread/

A lot of refining capacity has been permanently shut down (& scrapped) in the last 10 years.
https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/refinerycapacity/table13.pdf

Utilization is about as high as you can get (93%). You can't go much higher because refiners need downtime for maintenance. There is no slack in the system.

Sorry, PB1--I could not open your link: Not available...

Not surprised. Seems to happen frequently in the land of the free.( I'd moan at my service provider.) So far, they'd been sending SMS messages, attending to the problem, if I note a problem.

So, I take a break under the jacaranda tree, symbol of eternal life in  S'africa.

Not worth writing home about it.

So, here I am, lolling about on the terrace while I watch das whirld  go down the tube. Frankly, dear whirld,  I don't care. The boughs are wide, sunlight I caressing, and those horrid beings in Washington (?) are far away.
No food in the shops? I am 2 miles from the nearest agricultural smallholdings. And I am a man brought up as a child in the aftermath of WWII. The other day I met a lone man living in one of the converted park homes (to brick and tile) who proudly showed me a brick-and-clay oven under the avocado tree where he  makes speciality farm bread for the weekly market just up the road from him. The clay packed mud bottom was the trick to baking 5 breads at a time...

Forgot about the stock market and been drinking my way across Scotland with whisky.  Just had a dinner of scallops  with roe on blood pudding covered with a sprinkle of beet puree.  I was skeptical but it was delicious. I am at 58 deg N and daylight starts at 230am. Damn holiday weekend with the platinum jubilee. The roads are clogged.

Every generation seems to produce a group of sociopaths and psychopath's that command enough attention through their use of clever propaganda which is sufficient to induce a mass formation in the crowd resulting in their abandonment of individuality along with their capacity for critical thinking.

The 30s had Hitler and Mussolini and FDR and we got Fauci, Gates, Zuckerberg and Soros.

wolavka 12908, In my prized tabletop book written in guinea there is a photograph of a team racer that only has "Guzzi" in stylized Italian script. The dumb bunnies at Guzzi should put out a replica of that.  It is so subdued, yet stylish, that even Pyrite would buy one to flatter himself while gardening with his Bonsai.

It is a funny thing about so called "Modern Business" that every last one of them has a logo of no artistic value. Looking back eighty to one hundred years most had a wife or daughter that was a creative calligrapher. Their input was studied and adopted by so many marques that carried into their end, yet still lived on. No one(k) here have ever ridden a Vincent or even a lowly Triumph 650. Yet even more than a half century later their trademark scripts are still the most recognizable and things of beauty by many including myself.
I saw a 1970s cop show that was supplied by Ford. It had F O R D on the hood. That is from lack of imagination on the senior staff. I nearly hate them for not doing anything imaginative. In retrospect the original Ford emblem was at least creative. Cars are mostly 99% the same. Can you look at one as we kids did and identify it?

American retail consumers send back 16.1% of all purchases. And 20.8% of all online purchases are returned. Returns are often destroyed because they are unfit to sell again. Returns in the US create 5.8 billion pounds of landfill waste every year.

I must get a gombit grant to study which birds sing at early morning hours. Cardinals tune up at two hours before daybreak and call to each other. They answer to me even if my mimic is laughable to them. Progressing cacophony ensues as the word turns.

I wish we had cardinals here.  We found a cardinal buddy on our motorhome trip we took when we bade the stinking shop goodbye.  He would sit on the mirror bracket and beg every morning.
All we have here is pestilential scrub jays that wreak havoc with the other nesters.
Red Ryder and I took out the pair and things at the feeder environs are placid again.
A pair of quail are attempting to be regulars and I hope they succeed.

Hey big fisherman  I have a clump of jade from Mali probably 5 lbs. A local rock dealer thought it was worth  $5000. Anywhere near that I would sell  it is in form of hundreds of little balls of green  I will be back home in a week. If there really is a market I would sell it  I have smaller pieces as well  I know they were featured in a mineralogy magazine  I will be back from Scotland in a week. We should talk.

Gold/silver, crypto, stock market ,real estate are going down

Possibly due to de-population agenda as well as the end of the dollar

What if they don't print us into oblivion but create digital dollar that is deflationary against STUFF
Have not completely gotten to this  view but getting there as days we have known go bye bye

The line in the sand should have been drawn when the first Confederate monument was either defaced or pulled down.  All Americans should have united and said NO!  Every bad outcome occurred followed  due to our silence which was taken as acceptance.

The Postmodern, secular monster is being constructed with impossible amounts of financial assets held by members of the Khazarian Mafia or as Christ described them The Synagogue of Satan.

The only thing for God fearing Americans to do at this point is economically boycott all of it and withdraw all support.

Revelation 2:9
I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
