"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."

Refute if you can.

Pyrite....when I closed the shop and finally did a thorough inventory of what I had in maybe 10-11 slab boxes, I realized I had six of those damned Stone Mountains, somehow acquired over the years....They got so cheap at one point, I believe I bought 3 of 'em in -66 for under $100. each....Great design and, as you pointed out, a testimonial to the Southern fighters....

Maybe I should try this one on the coin forum.
Revolution Muera Huerta Peso 1914, KM621, struck in Durango at the city of Cuencame.
Death to the feared General Huerta of the Federal army is what this coin states.

Minted in the turbulent year of 1914 the coin orders the death of Victoriano Huerta who had,
through a military coup, usurped the Mexican Presidency from Francisco Madero and
had him summarily executed the previous year.

This act brought the revolutionary armies of Villa, Obregon, Carranza and Zapata against Huerta
under the Plan of Guadalupe.
Villa’s hatred of Huerta had actually begun much earlier when he had been placed in
Huerta’s army by Francisco Madero as an honorary colonel during the suppression of
Pascual Orozco’s revolt of 1912.

Seen as an overly ambitious competitor and loose cannon, Huerta had Villa jailed and
scheduled for the firing squad for insubordination and horse thievery.
Only the intervention of Madero saved Villa, but the hatred between the two men had
been made plain. Further exacerbating this personal hatred was the murder of Villa’s
political mentor Abraham Gonzalez by Huerta’s forces in March of 1913.

Thus for the coinage distributed to the areas under his control Villa chose a direct
and plain call to arms: “Death to Huerta”.

Appalled by such a personal affront Huerta made it punishable by death to possess
one of these Pesos.

After a string of military losses culminating in the Battle of Zacatecas,
General Huerta was forced to resign the presidency and went into exile,
dying in U.S. custody in 1916.

Deer season for guns opened today in Wisconsin. DNR says that there are usually 600,000 hunters active. Too bad they don't encircle Madison and clean out the dump.

Good interview -this is a deep dive into vaccinology. Geert is a leading expert in vaccine development. His bio is below the video in this link. His prior predictions seem to be coming true.

That Muera Huerta Peso was never a coin that was easily found, even 40+ years ago when I was specializing in Mexican and Spanish colonials....I did buy three of them at a show in Mexico City at one point, but rarely found more at shows here in the Estados Unidos....neat coin....nice condition....great story, too!

OK, scanning latest oil demand numbers from Gorozen, they see 101 mmbbl/day, 4th qtr. '22, a record high.

If full jet travel was allowed by the junta, add another 2-3 million, thereby exceeding global pumping capacity.

RIPple's in the pond, took a while, but it was inevitable, here we are, bundled up in our ESG sleigh.

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. Investors are increasingly applying these non-financial factors as part of their analysis process to identify material risks and growth opportunities. ... This guide takes fiduciary duty, externalities, disclosures, and other important ESG issues into account.

Gorozen predictions for the future, beep, beep, no crude for you...

"Our models suggest that we could be entering a new period in the history of oil- a period without any excess pumping capability"

US shale production growth is down over 90% since the peak, uncompleted well inventories are dwindling, hmm.

This is what you get, when interfering with a free market, by the wise CB'ers who have embraced their "mission".

The "market signals" they were busy sending out and verifying, have proven to be ENRONeous, this is reality.

How does the world forward plan for future energy needs, when it's ruled by uninformed yokels with fake money?

Hambone, ESG, it's fugly, a bureaucratic nightmare that will seriously restrict supply of  energy and metals.

Dropping per capita energy consumption means dropping per capita real economic output, that's a law of reality.

Windows updates have been a real **** forever.

I noticed on the Voy location https://www.voy.com/249970/ that they posted alternate emails addy for registering if you had problems.
NW said he couldn't log in due to an email problem..

I like to have more than one option for posting

"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."

Refute if you can.

Some maniac in a Ford Escape ran through a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin and stuck 30 people.   Apparently, there may have been gun shots from the vehicle too.

Ben @ breadmakers. At one time that was a fad withj the Karens. They used them a couple of times and then to the basement or garage. One could find essentially new 500 dollar breadmakers for fifty or less at garage sales. The Chinese ones are to be avoided as the junk gears are just that. The Merkin ones mostly had  carburized gear trains and stout bearings. The high end had the programs in them.

An investment firm founded by Hunter Biden facilitated a $3.8 billion purchase of an American-owned cobalt mine by a Chinese conglomerate, placing a key resource used in the manufacture of electric car batteries under foreign control, according to the New York Times.

The mine, formerly owned by Freeport-McMoRan and located in the Democratic Republic of Congo, was purchased in 2016 after Chinese mining outfit China Molybdenum announced a partnership with the Biden-founded Bohai Harvest RST (BHR) - with the Chinese contributing $2.65 billion and BHR contributing $1.14 billion to buy out a minority stakeholder, Lundin Mining of Canada. The money for Bohai's share came "entirely from Chinese state-backed companies," according to the report.

Bread Makers  "Best thing since sliced Bread"

Computers have come too far IMO but they make great bread

Spent after a couple of coupons found on line.... I paid 112 bucks for a Hamilton Beach
I may buy another one in case this one ever breaks down at a bad place in this fragile world we now have

Ben, Hamilton Beach used to be all made in my town. They grew out of the many small electric motor makers domiciled here. It started with an accessory to motorize treadle sewing machines and grew to about twenty manufacturers of specialty motors.
HB goods are still in use for any joint that makes real malt shakes. The Horlick Malted Milk Company was here too. That was a synergy of sorts. All gone now. I am sure that it is all made in China now.
