For some reason (scratching head here) we have seen a massive drop in birth rates in highly vexxed countries. This all came out after the film linked below came out.

Turns out, there has been some experimentation with this in the past.

Norwester - Wednesday is CPI - gona test $1720 or lower tomorrow - might go all the way to $1700. If it does, they'll try & run the stops below. I'm short, came into today short - covered, but just reset it - looking to cover & go long tomorrow about the EU close around 11:30AM. but that decision in terms of when I do it is very fluid

Think then we get a pretty decent bounce for about week or so

When I say I am "Short" I'm short stocks not the metal - through ETFs. PM stocks are going to get an extra kick down, given the DOW is going to be under pressure until CPI is released as well & whether we like it or not, the general SM is a factor re PM Stocks

JPM & GS guys like to pop this stuff & suck folk in before they slam it in front of something like CPI on WED. Looks like the pop is over & Its rolling down for good - needs to take out this morning's high of $1741 for that not to be the case

Guilty are Now Hiding Humanitarian Catastrophe – Dr. Pierre Kory
By Greg Hunter On July 9, 2022

https://usawatchdog.com/guilty-are-now-hiding-humanitarian-catastrophe-dr-pierre-kory/

The pharmaceutical industry is a criminal cabal that collectively does not care if they hurt people.  This is not even new with the COVID injections.  They have paid billions in fines over the decades and they are totally without conscience.

I feel horrible for him. What an awful story.

We had a full house backup generator installed two years ago and since we had the installation there has been only one power outage of 3 hours length.  In the past we had at least 3 per year that would often run a day and a half.

Who needs gold? My sisters kid teaches at a ND university. This is the honest truth,
no BS at all. One of her students just got paid $1,250 for the month. You will never guess what he sells online. People PAY MONEY to look at pics of his feet! He has nothing special for feet, no 6 toes or anything. We really are doomed. I forgot to ask
what he was studying to be

I believe if we organized and went door-to-door asking if people owned any gold and shot dead any that don't, that things would start looking up pretty quickly.
Taking a news crew along would be a good idea.

The market as a whole is getting cocky.

Every two bit analyst says the same thing. Rates up by 75bp, dollar higher, metals lower, a recession(not a bad one) and the stock market oversold and a buy.

Maybe they’re all right.  But such a consensus means the boat is really listing

What to do?  Heck if I know.

Just got back from the dentist. They were pushing for me to visit three times a year. They were putting the hard sell on. I suspect money was being left on the table with my insurance company and they wanted it. So I told them I was thinking of only coming once a year. They didn't see that one coming. Suddenly yes Mr. Wilson twice a year will be fine. I'm thinking having too good of insurance is a risk to your health.

Gold put up a fight today - might portend a sell-off on the CPI Release. I'm expecting a bounce out of this but might still be a capitulation wash-out still in the cards. Hopefully, the number comes out & we move higher tomorrow without violating $1720

Axel merk

Axel discusses the correlations between real rates and gold. Gold is supposed to be an inflation hedge, but people get frustrated when it doesn’t immediately respond to inflation predictions. Consumers are seeing the problems in their wallet at the gas pump. Real rates are useful for predicting the markets

Wallbridge Mining halted at the open. Jeez, can anything else go wrong with this company? Even if it is a buyout offer for double, I would still be way underwater, as would most others I presume.

As I said last week, silver is soooo washed out, but gold is not yet. So, they can hold silver back until both metals are a screaming buy. COT on silver should almost eliminate ALL Commercial net shorts when the report comes out on Friday. I've never seen silver this much of a buy, ever.

So we got Inflation Month X Month @ 1.3% - about 15% run rate & we all know, it's probably higher than that. & we have a 10-yr Bond Market at 3.06% - folks, one of those two is going to make a violent move towards the other - in the not-to-distant future & when it does, it's not going to be pretty

 ;)

If you were listening to CNBC this morning you were treated to an economics argument for the ages.  Rick Santelli was on fire.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/topstocks/futures-tumble-after-the-hotter-than-expected-cpi-report/vi-AAZwJKS?fromMaestro=true

The cut out the best part. Santelli finishes by suggesting our public schools and universities add Wealth of Nations and Atlas Shrugged because American kids are finishing their education with staggering ignorance as to how real economics works.

He also said that years ago we had tangible evidence that clean energy was failing spectacularly in Germany and other parts of the EU to keep the lights on and factories running and yet we stupidly went down the same path.  These are the policies of economic morons.

I suppose that is why  CNBC cut it off---too much reality for the viewing audience?

I was surprised to see POG take a big hit after the inflation numbers.  I guess it just fell in sympathy with everything else.  But, those numbers should be good for the metal.  I expect some improvement in the metals the rest of the week.  We all know how the initial reaction is usually a head fake.  The selling is overdone.

Yea, it was always going to at least $1720 - just a question of before or after the number - we got our answer today. Bigger questions was a run at the stops below $1700 & so far, nyet

It is great to see posts about gold and gold stocks for a change. Thanks to Apollo/Mugwump primarily. Too much "Geezer Therapy" here.

Anyway, I like gold stocks in here. These lows will either hold, or we have a quick dump along with the stock market for several days. I think that if you buy shares now, you won't regret it looking out several months . I have added 20% misc juniors, + GDX, +GDXJ and some silver in recent weeks.

Some technical indicators that haven't flashed in years are flashing. eg. 65 day rate of change under -30%.

Biden says he will give the Fed room to fight inflation.

How nice of him, since the Fed is supposed to be hands off from the executive anyway.

But that too is a farce.

Trying to buy a couple of things here but not chasing.

Everybody tends to forget in this raise interest rates mania that there’s a 30 trillion dollar monster that needs to keep feeding on interest.  The higher the rate the hungrier it gets.

I'm thinking interest rates have peaked. This will be good for gold, bonds, and the broader market. The dollar may reverse and the balance of trade may improve. Already we are seeing lower oil prices in the commodity market.
