It seems to me that the basic logic is: "the more violence we have, the more guns we need to protect ourselves."  This is  circular reasoning and thus it's a logical fallacy.  The U.S. has been steadily declining over the course of the last few decades in formal education.  It also has not been doing well in applying good common sense to solve critical issues. That's a terrible combination.

I noticed many of the elderly are getting fed up with all self checkout screens different every  other week. It's still easier to use cash

https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2022/07/nist-selects-quantum-proof-algorithms-to-head-off-the-coming-cryptopocalypse/

In the not-too-distant future—as little as a decade, perhaps, nobody knows exactly how long—the cryptography protecting your bank transactions, chat messages, and medical records from prying eyes is going to break spectacularly with the advent of quantum computing. On Tuesday, a US government agency named four replacement encryption schemes to head off this cryptopocalypse.

Some of the most widely used public-key encryption systems—including those using the RSA, Diffie-Hellman, and elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman algorithms—rely on mathematics to protect sensitive data. These mathematical problems include (1) factoring a key's large composite number (usually denoted as N) to derive its two factors (usually denoted as P and Q) and (2) computing the discrete logarithm that key is based on.

The security of these cryptosystems depends entirely on how difficult it is for classical computers to solve these problems. While it's easy to generate keys that can encrypt and decrypt data at will, it's impossible from a practical standpoint for an adversary to calculate the numbers that make them work.

I heard that some proactive elderly are finding ways to protest the masks by getting them as they enter the facility and then taking them to the restroom and pissing on them.
That's what I have heard.
"Racist" is a toolword. You must know that.
Any objective examination of the effect of "them" has to lead you to the behavior and ideology that is now termed, "racist."

If you look at where all the violence is you can tell that it's where the the law abiding are unarmed. Same goes for countries.

Guns.

I like to think of the old west.  Everyone could open carry.  That was never in dispute until later.  Were there gun murders?  Yes.  Were there gunfights? Yes.

But I’m hard pressed to think of any mass casualty gun incidents.

Rack;

I looked up the locations of mass shootings and they are all over the place --different states throughout the U.S., west, east, north, south, rural, urban, suburban, tight gun controls, loose gun control, etc.

NG: Europe is hooped, they can't go back to the 'old ways', too much has been mothballed, it's give up or freeze.

Watch Italy, they're getting close to trashing the joint, the Frenchies too, they can put on a Bastille Day shaker.

Wef's on the ropes, Uncle Klaus is sweatin' bullets, all their schemes are being kiboshed by a lack of hydrocarbons.

Oh, what tangled webs we weave, watch it all slide down the face, smart guys, best of luck with the angry mobs.

Gold slaughtered, silver treading water. Simple explanation. Silver is washed out. Unless the Commercials decide to go net long, which they never do, silver will wait for gold to bottom. Gold, on the other hand had the Commercials net short 189,000 ounces. They have gotten that number under 100,000 ounces a few times before; so, they can rig it lower. Currently, that number may be close to that level, but not quite there yet. COT comes out Friday, which is through 7/5. It does not include today. Because of the holiday, they may hold the report out until Monday. Yes, I know, this criminal rigging of the price is sicker than sick, but there is obviously nothing we can do about it. We are getting close to a bottom in both metals.

https://finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=GRAINS&p=d1

Has put a big strain on the farmers anticipated income to pay the banker / lender ( JD with it’s Plant Now -Pay Later ads..? )
Anyway, this drop in prices is EQUAL to the check for the rent of the acre.
Kid you not…!

Rural banks will be toast….bank examiners will put an end to “ participation loans”
End of story.

Trudeau said “Whether it’s our most recent initiatives on banning—sorry, on freezing the market for firearms, which will start moving us in the right direction over the medium and long term.”

GLD 1 Mo through 1 year RSI 26 - anywhere in here, take a position & don't look at it again until Sept 25th & you'll be very happy. I still think we bottom in front of the FOMC on the 26th, but who knows - could have been today, might be tomorrow.  It's definitely in July 2022

New normal abnormalities found in bloodstream are not clots, they're 'protein structures', that's very re-assuring.

Can't be detected until after the recipient buys the farm, as it were, there's no magic bullet, so it's non-existent.

Apollo, my dad was a WWII MARINE in the Pacific Theater.   He took my brother and me hunting and fishing and for whatever reason it never struck with me.  I guess I was fated to be an office worker.

I was given a lever action Winchester 30-30 for deer hunting and when I was transferring from Washington D.C. to Bismarck around 1974, I picked up the Winchester while visiting my folks in Madison and made the final leg of the journey.

In the course of my time in Bismarck I purchased a home and took on a roommate who rented a room and we shared the kitchen as we had different shifts in the weather office.
He started going nuts and was threatening to use the 30-30 on himself, so I grabbed the weapon and all the ammunition I had with it and drove it over to the bosses house and explained the circumstances and he agree to keep it in his home as he was a hunter and had a safe.

When my dad visited the next year he took it back to Madison.  When I was visiting after transferring to Milwaukee he told me I could take it with me if I wished but said other than hunting which you do not do any longer it would be better if it just stays in Madison.

Then he offered some advice which I never forgot.  This was in 1979.  He said "if the Federal government increasingly demonizes private ownership of firearms and starts adding restriction and hurdles on the 2nd Amendment, you had best buy firearms, take training courses on both cleaning and maintenance of these firearms and do not screw around because the country will be in extreme danger from that point forward".

Obama provided all the warning I needed, although a first warning came during Clinton's two terms should have been my warning but it somehow got part me.

In the evening Zigg watches YouTube ….no brainer type of content 😂

Lots of machinery shows..big tractors, combines, choppers …even the Oxbow line of fruit harvesters….amazing..!
What I have figured out by watching the EU videos of field work is most of the real farmers hire custom operators to do the tillage, planting and harvesting…
And most of the pics showing the hoards of big expensive tractors are owned by the custom operators…well, really owned by the bank…
And at a thousand dollars per horsepower,a 250-300 hp tractor can be a big hurdle for the true farmers are willing to put out…the ol why buy when you can rent/ hire cheaper
One 875 hp Fendt/ Ideal combine had a 900K sticker price…

And the EU has their cheap food policy just as the US does…subsidizing the farmers
Been that way a long long time..

14604 Zigg, I sold my CTS-V manual as I hated the electronics and crap that had nothing much for anything other than confusion., although a supercharched Corvette engine with a six speed Tremec in a Caddy is a rarity.
I bought a Toyota Camry because of long term reliability and the base level still has a mechanical key for ignition and sans an infotainment system of crap that will fail. No manual for 2022 and no new old ones to be found. I don't drive much so the Cadillac wasn't a burden on fuel consumption, but the morons that turned it into a pinball parlor annoyed me. I got rid of it with fuel half of what it was at the commencement of this month, The Camry base is a decent car and I have other crud if I want to experience terror. Visibility is far better than most sedans which is important to those of us that still have peripheral vision on a swivel head mounting. I don't even trust the backup camera. It has knobs to turn for the heater and radio, although I am going to make bigger knobs for the radio as they are sized for exceedingly small hands.
Anyway, it was 500 less if financed so I put down 80% cash and financed the rest for five years. I lurched into settling the debt in two months. I could have easily afforded a double that, but I didn't want it, nor could tolerate it. Strippo cars are really quite nice overall. It has 200 HP and good gas consumption with superior normally aspirated engine and a proven transmission. It will easily outlast me with decent fluid maintenance.
I beat the crowd for this type of vehicle appliance by two months and now have a car that if sold would bring more than what I paid. FWIW, I chose a dark grey metallic that conceals and blends the ugliness of the frontal design. Another feature is that with the window down it is not uncomfortable to have a forearm on the sill which is my preferred driving position. It allows for hand signal turning and to flip off my less preferred fellow drivers.

14607 Zigg, I once was behind a procession of farming equipment that went on for at least a third of a mile. Passing was impossible so one had to wait until it went to the next south central Wisconsin farm. I am usually impatient with a short string and will look for a way about it. This one was so large that I just relaxed and explained to the navigator wife that she should appreciate just what that string was up to. I do not know much on farming equipment but did point out some of the features of this very expensive equipment was as I am a mechanism guy of sort. They turned off not too much later to the next farms to reap them in wide swaths. I was impressed even though I lost some amount of time on the trip.
I should know more on this as the city that I live in is J.I. Case and the birth bed of Massey Ferguson and other manufactures.

14612....Erle....it's raspberry harvesting time around here...hard to travel down any of the main or sidestreets, it seems, without getting behind a berry hauling truck or one of the mechanized 'pickers'....our road is a favorite thoroughfair for 'em early in the mornings, so I often get awakened to the sound of whirring diesel tractor rigs and picking related trucks and machines....This, too, will pass, however, as the annual "Razzfest" comes up ten days from now, indicating that, until the field corn is ready, ag equipment will be put back in the barns and the noise level will drop appreciably....

14614 N'w, I once went on a couple of days off which I couldn't really spare, to visit my sister's  Jersey farm. The first was to help with getting the cows situated and the next was for feed. I was given a silly short session on how to mow, and another half hour on how to rake and then how to service the baler. I could have ruined the whole thing, but started slowly for a few minutes and then caught on. No expert here, but I did not mess it up. It was pleasurable to learn some things on just what it takes.
I assume that you know that Jerseys are quite a docile breed and have very high milkfat content. Sister sold it for cheese to a small cheese plant that had a miniscule amount of superb hobby cheeses with a knockout stinky Bleu, but nearly all went to goomint crud mixed heavily with Holstein.
I said that her fluid milk would get far better price as Jersey Whole Milk to be sold in the Mexican grocers of Milwaukee as they much preferred high fat content. That was a lost opportunity as the blending of inferior fluid milk continued to the point of no financial return.
I always buy whole milk since living in Palm Beach where all of the cows were Guernsey or higher as compared to Holsteins of the north.
I don't know quite what this has to do with the gold/silver ratio. I did call it out when at 91.8 so now you can lose in both unless going 2X down on glod and flat slag. That is complicated, so I will have another slug of my heavy beer.

14584...Yo, Zigg...getting a bit of a relief bounce today in the grains after Corn plumeted from the $8.00 level just weeks back to a low yesterday around $5.70.....'twas ugly...back up above $6.05 now, but a helluva big gap to fill up above....could happen if things start getting really dry in corn-growin' country....

Hard to say, Erle, whether or not that G:S ratio thing at 90 or 91: 1 is a 'top' for now or not....I haven't ruled out a slide down to $17.85 or so for the sludge although I may be a buyer IF we see $18.25 in the days ahead....at some point it's absolutely too cheap....Hell, production costs nowadays have to be close to $17. what with the higher fuel prices and trucking and salaries, etc.

Whatever became the women that spoke in measured tones such as Tallulah Bankhead? She was dissipate, but going down with a retained class.
I read in one of my favored magazines on paper, and still is, of the gal pronouncing train arrivals and departures of Memphis Central to points north and south in a most pleasant drawl of anyone to easily understand. They fixed it up with a poorly run synthetic voice that was distinctly from Connecticut. It is most important to throttle the miscegenation of Southern culture with Northern bad seed.

Beginning at about the time of the vexxine rollout, U.S. all cause (non-covid) mortality began increasing and has continued to increase at an alarming level.

Same thing now being noted in all heavily vexxed countries.

Solution: stop reporting the data.

Nothings for certain, but I'm quite sure the GS ratio has peaked over this 90 + level. It will be going south, way south IMO. Commercials just aren't short anymore. No reason to drive it lower here.

Saw that on the telegram channels. Ukraine has taken a massive beating in the past couple of weeks, their army looks like it is near collapse.

Meanwhile, they are using the U.S. supplied artillery to shell Donesk, where there are no Russian troops but only (russian speaking) Ukrainian civilians.

So someone thinks they should start up Nordstream II….
Might be a couple problems….first the whole project fell into BK…lots of lenders who “participated “ in this took a big hit….Gazprom was not listed as a creditor…? ?

And…methinks the pipe is full of water to keep the pipe laying on the sea floor

Then there is the matter if Vlad is willing to start up the compressor to pump the gas to all of his NATO friends…🤣

It's you guys that have thwarted everything that may have unfolded, a nation with a spine, how very unusual.

Canada's done, the east cannot foist their destructive green economy scam on the west, they'll try hard though.

FWIW, I looked around for the horse paste. Originally I bought it for 3.09-3.12 per syringe that might save your 1450 pound azz. Now it is 8.00 with only five in stock as the cheapest. Most are gone or at more than a silver ounce. That Durvet company in Canada that makes the horse paste would have been a smoking investment once the tales of death got the (((MSM))) treatment.
My trifle with the "apple flavoured" paste got me past the mild fever and sniffles once Frustrated prodded me to actually use properly what I reported upon. N'w is sitting on a few syringes that were meant for RACK, but secretary muffed the shipments.
Ah, if I was only there in Wuhan to treat the falling down camera subject, our world would be less fecked up.

Yes, the people will fall for it, even the 'university educated', this is true Brit deep state stuff, they're the best.

Ukraine army shows off how to profit from war…

Later, the official Telegram channel of Uralvagonzavod confirmed Regis claims. The channel thanked France and President Emmanuel Macron for the howitzers, saying that they will be “handy”.

According to the Donbass Insider, Ukrainian officers sold the two French-made howitzers to Russia for the low price of $120,000 each. A single CAESAR howitzer costs at least seven million euros. The news blog speculated that the howitzers were sold to an intermediary, most likely an arms dealer, who in turn sold them to Russia.
